Difference Between Sea Salt and Fleur de Sel
Sea Salt vs Fleur de Sel: two salts, two purposes
Although they come from the same sea and salt pans, Sea Salt and Fleur de Sel are not the same product. They differ in harvesting method, crystal structure and culinary use.
What is Sea Salt
Traditional sea salt is harvested from the bottom of the salt pans at the end of the evaporation cycle. It has larger, denser crystals and a stronger flavor.
