Follow the journey of the water. Discover, with friends and family, the ancient history of the salt pans and the historic Salt Museum, enjoying a unique sensory experience together with our guides.

Our tour is divided into 2 parts.
The first part focuses on the guided visit of the Salt Museum and the ancient 15th-century mill, where you can truly immerse yourself in the history of salt, discovering not only the hard work carried out in the salt pans, but also the story of the family that has managed them for generations. The museum is located inside an ancient baglio and is included in the official guide of the European Union. It is a strong testimony to the deep bond that has always connected salt and the sea.
During the second part of the tour, you will enjoy a relaxing walk through the salt pans, discovering the endless shades of white that characterize the salt, together with the blue of the sea, the grey of the clay and the pink tones of the basins. This route follows the perimeter of the salt pan until reaching the banks of the salt basins, where the water reflects the sky like a mirror.

Through this tour, Saline Culcasi offers an experience suitable for all ages, inside the WWF nature reserve. Among protected plants and birds, you will be able to observe the salt forming in the basins, collect it with your own hands and follow, step by step, the journey that transforms seawater into the salt we all know.

You can visit us from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
You will have the chance to fully enjoy the bright colours of the day and the romantic shades of sunset.
